war dance the documentary, is about the child soldiers of northern uganda, who have used their musical gifts to solidify their value in life, rather than just succumb to believing their worthless. hard to watch, but i just have to be able to be inspired! i haven't seen this yet, but we want to, matt found it! check out the awesome photos!

we had such a fun time with keli's college friends and old family friends, celebrating keli's birthday this weekend! cute kids!!!

weekend fun...

we had such a fun weekend, getting to see friends, we hadn't seen in a while, and their cute little girls.
Saturday night, we spent with mindy and garrett, and their little hattiebelle. we enjoyed dinner at Matt's Ranchero.




...then, on sunday night, we went out to Frisco and enjoyed some yummy fried chicken at Babe's, with friends Caleb, Aina, their little girl charlotte, Shane and David...
and then played Settlers of Catan at their house afterwards!

Glow event at Watermark!

matt and i volunteered on Monday, at church, for the Glow event, which is an all day pampering experience for the battered and abused women of Nexus. we were so blessed to be a part of it!
matt was in charge of the before and after pictures of these women. as they came in, they bore their insecurities and raggedness; and left transformed, full of confidence and esteem! it was amazing to see the transformations! check out some of the most dramatic difference below!

snoppy little parker...

this is how parker greeted matt, as he walked in from work yesterday. i could hear her getting in to the recycling, but upon discovering her, i decided i'd leave-her-be, so matty could also take pleasure, in the outcome, of our curious little cat!
